About South African learner's and driving tests
Driving licensing in South Africa is governed by the National Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996 and administered through Driving Licence Testing Centres (DLTCs). Every new driver must first pass the K53 learner's licence test, a written exam taken on a touch-screen or paper at a DLTC, before training for the practical K53 driving test. The learner's test for a light motor vehicle has 64 questions split into vehicle controls, road signs, and rules of the road, with a separate pass mark for each section.
This reviewer turns the K53 syllabus into free, self-paced practice. Questions are written from the official K53 learner's manual and the National Road Traffic Act and its regulations, covering the controls of the vehicle, South African road signs, signals and markings, and the rules of the road, so you walk into the DLTC ready.
